Warmest wishes to our new and returning customers who stayed with us in 2015. Hopefully you will be making a return visit to Ardach self catering accommodation in Nethy Bridge in 2016.
For those in the village on Hogmanay the local school are once again hosting the torchlight procession from the top of the village to the community hall. Why not join in the ceilidh before the fireworks show on the games field. This family focused event starts early and the firework display finishes at around 9:30 allowing youngsters to enjoy a traditional highland hogmanay. Tickets available from the local Spar shop in Nethy.

The past two days have seen the first snowfall of the Winter. There is a good base of snow forming on Cairngorm mountain so hopefully the ski season will start soon.
We have limited availability in December and January so why not book a break to enjoy the snow either in Nethy Bridge itself or at one of the local ski resorts.

The annual Abernethy Highland Games will be held at Nethybridge on Saturday, 8th August. The venue is just 500 yards from Ardach in the centre of the village. More info
The Herald recently reported on the splendid golfing facilities in the Cairngorms. Abernethy, only a wedge shot from Ardach, is quoted as “the most evocative experience of all at the lovely little Abernethy club” and “packed with character”. Also nearby are Boat of Garten, Grantown-on Spey, Cartridge, Spey Valley and Craggan golf courses. Good deals are available for a combination of these courses .

The annual Abernethy Open Gardens event takes place on the second Saturday of July. This year sees an extended array of things to do alongside visiting the wonderful gardens of the area. See the poster below for full details.
Abernethy Open Gardens
The Abernethy Visitor centre is now officially open! Based within one of the rooms in the Nethy Bridge Community centre the visitor centre provides a wealth of information on the local area. From walks to nature there are various displays and artefacts to keep the young and old interested.
The visitor centre is free and open throughout the week. Yet another great attraction which will help you make the most of your stay in the Nethy Bridge area.
